We’ve had dogs since I was born, and my parents used to put a puppy in my crib to get me to sleep. My parents took a great picture of me asleep with a smooth fox terrier snuggled against me, with a stencil of Roy Rogers, Bullet, and Trigger on the back of my bed. Roy Rogers was my favorite ( I had his costume), and ironically, the home we currently live at most of the time, at Spring Valley Lake, is only a few miles from the home of Roy and Dale in Apple Valley.
The last two dogs we received from you are incredible. Taffy (the buff wired hair) gets more loving every day. Abby (your daughter’s smooth red) is a total lover. We never thought that we would like a red, but this dog is incredible. They get the best dog food, loving, medical, and dental care. We feed them Dr. Marty’s, and see an incredible difference in their health and activity. It is expensive, but well worth it.
Do you ever have access to black and tan wired hairs or smooth chocolates? At some point, we will want to add another family member. Whomever gets the pick wins the lottery. When we die, any surviving dog has a survivor’s trust.
Since we last spoke, we purchased a home on Spring Valley Lake in the high desert. The dogs absolutely love it, and have a major deck over the water to patrol. They chase all of the waterfowl, boats, planes, and anything else that moves. It keeps them years younger because they have a job to do, and they take it very seriously. Hopefully, your herd is doing well. ~~Rick
