CH NUFOREST OUTLAW ANNABELLE MW “ANNABELLE”
Breeder: Susan A. Buck & William F. Buck, Jr
Owner: Lee Ann Choquette
Annabelle was shown to her AKC Championship Lee Ann in Colorado. We are so proud of them!
This is a photo of our lovely CH “BARBIE” taking her first major win. The show was Central Ohio Kennel Club and the date was April 23, 1995. The judge was Mr. Michael Sosne and Barbie’s hander was Hannalore Heller.
Barbie was 27 months of age when this photo was taken. There is another photo of Barbie on our wirehaired Dachshund page and below that was taken when Barbie was 143 months of age….still lovely at almost 12 years old!!
As of the date of the following photo, Barbie is the proud dam of 8 AKC CHAMPIONS: CH NUFOREST TOY STORY MW, CH NUFOREST RAG DOLL MW, CH NUFOREST JEEYI JEAUX MW, CH NUFOREST BARBIEZ GUY MW, CH NUFOREST BARBIEZ DOLL MW, NUFOREST BARBED WIRE MW, CH NUFOREST BAR B PISTOL PETE MW and CH NUFOREST BAR B PECOS PETE MW. No wonder Barbie was recognized by the Dachshund Club of America as: the NUMBER 2 TOP PRODUCER — WIREHAIRED BITCH in 2002!
We got CH “Bo” as an adult from Ellen Bourgeois and Mary Karat when they stopped breeding and showing miniature Dachshunds. CH ELENBUSCH RAINBOW’S END MW was born June 4, 1976 and we had him until he was 18 years of age. Bo’s sire was CH MAY’S HAP-PEA TORPEDO MW and Bo’s dam was CH ELENBUSCH HOLLY GOLIGHTLY MW
This red mini wirehair is our CH “BOB”. Doug and Mandy Carlson, professional handlers showed Bob and several of our other miniature Dachshunds to their Championships. This photo shows Bob at HEART OF AMERICA KENNEL CLUB.
The judge in this photo is Mr. Lowell K. Davis. Bill handled Boomer to each of his wins. We did not get a Bred By Exhibitor Medallion from the AKC because Boomer’s first points came from the Puppy Class (pictured here). Boomer finished his AKC Championship under judge, Mrs. C. M. Barton at Lost Dutchman Kennel Club in Arizona, March 12, 2005.
This photo of CH “BUZZ” shows a handsome miniature wirehaired Champion….but you need to look under all the hair to see the dog! This picture was taken just before Bill pulled his coat and began the process of getting Buzz ready to be shown as a Special. It takes about 60 days for a wirehaired Dachshund to go from this shaggy look to the sleek perfectly groomed dog you see in the showing.
The photos shows CH “Casey” finishing his AKC Championship with a 5 Point Major!! under judge Mr. Edward M. Gilbert. The show was Canada De Oro Kennel Club, November 19, 2005. CH Casey was handled to his Championship by Ric Plaut, PHA (after being trained & shown by our [then] 7 year old Granddaughter, Hollie Groves)
April 27, 2003, Dachshund Club of Southern California Specialty Show CH “CECIL” was awarded Winners Dog and Best of Winners. The judge in the photo is Mr. David M. Powers. Bill is handling Cecil and Marilyn Levanen is shown awarding the trophies.
Susan,
I thought you would like to see some photos of Chicha I took this morning.
She has finished her first puppy kindergarten classes. It is very clear to me that it is me who need the classes more that her.
We’ve had the greatest time making her a part of our lives. Ricky and his mother took care of her while I was working on a landscape project in Greece for a month. When I came back she learned to whimper in the most pathetic way for attention. you would think she had her paw cut off or something. After the second time of reacting to it to see if it was something, I am reconditioning her to behave normally.
We live 1/2 block from Melrose Av. Chicha is very popular. All the shop owners know her name, not ours! There are a few Latin shop owners and they think it is so funny we call her Salchicha. A few weeks ago KJLA a local Spanish language TV station was interviewing the girls at the shop and they saw Chicha on a walk with Ricky and they wanted to introduce the dog to their viewers, so Chicha is a local celebrity.
Ricky is the prime walker so he comes back with all the stories, I think the walks are more for him personally but Chicha benefits. He tells me there is another mini-wire of yours in the next neighborhood, Hancock Park, but he didn’t get the name.
Hope you have a great 4th weekend and again Thank you!
Brad A. and Ricky R.
