CH Mitch is a red miniature wirehaired Dachshund. Yes, RED, with a perfect harsh correct wire coat. Did I mention that he is RED?!!

Mitch in the show photo is pictured taking Best of Winners at Cabrillo Kennel Club show, May 2006 under Judge, Mrs. Jane Ropolo.

Mitch finished his Championship at just under 2 years of age with all his points coming from the Bred-By Exhibitor Classes.

Not only is Mitch a handsome miniature wirehaired Dachshund but he is also a popular fellow. At a dollar a vote Mitch was awarded 1st Place in the Hound Group aboard the 2007 Canine College Cruise in the Best in Ship Competition. All the money earned at this event was donated to the AKC's Dog Museum. Here the winning photo of Mitch.

CH “PECOS” is shown in this photo taking Winners Dog and Best of Winners at Bonneville Basin Kennel Association on Sunday, September 14, 2003. The judge was Mrs. Linda Scanlon and Ric Plaut was handling Pecos.

Professional handler, Ric Plaut makes sure our dogs get to all the shows we cannot attend. Ric showed Pecos to his Championship and is now showing Pecos’ brother, NUFOREST BAR B PISTOL PETE MW.

CH “Pistol” is being awarded Winners Dog (a major) and Best Opposite Sex by judge Sr. Carlos Navarro at Yuma Kennel Club on November 26, 2004. The handler is Ric Plaut. Pistol finished his Championship 3 days later at Imperial Valley Kennel Club.

This is CH “Ruffy” at one of his first shows, the Dachshund Club of Santa Ana Valley Specialty Show in April of 2006. He was awarded Best Puppy in Sweepstakes (Wirehaired Variety) by Judge Hal T. Biermann. Ruffy quickly finished his Championship and went on to place in the Group.

Rusti is the daughter of Best In Specialty Show & Best In Show Winner CH VON SCHLEGEL’S LIL BOBBI SUE MW. Rusti is the dam of our CH VAL-JEAN’S BARBIE DOLL MW, ROM. Shooter

CH SHOOTER finished his AKC Championship on the second day of a family vacation. Our daughter, Jennifer Groves and two of our grandkids, Casey & Hollie, traveled thru central California and the Sierras with us in between dog show weekends. Jen’s husband had to work so he missed out on Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. The kids, Shooter and all the other doxies that we had with us were all good travelers and it was a delightful trip. Shooter is pictured with Ric Plaut, PHA (our handler) and the judge that awarded him his last major win, Mrs. T. F. Powers. The show was Kern County Kennel Club on April 3, 2005.
