Bismarck

Merry Christmas Susan!

I haven’t checked in for a while but here are some pictures of Bismark. The one with the bow tie, he just came back from the groomers, one with one his new coats and the one where he’s sleeping on his back, that’s the radiator! So it’s quite toasty.

He’s doing well and loves meeting other dogs.  We’ve had the craziest weather this year, we get a few days below freezing then the temperatures go up to the mid 60’s! Bismarck has a puffer coat he wears for his first walk of the day when it’s in the 20’s. Today it’s 45 and I took him for a walk this afternoon without a coat, he enjoyed that.

Hope all is well – Catherine

Nico

Greetings, and best wishes!

You’ve been in our thoughts for happy holidays, wishing you a good 2025.

Nico is nearing 17 months old, and looks wiry and muscular at 9.8# (had been 10.4#, before adjusting his meal portions). Truly, he looks exactly like his dad. He’s had no “issues” whatsoever, healthwise or otherwise. I do all of his grooming, which he rather enjoys… nails biweekly, teeth 3X/week, ears, stripping, etc.

Every month of age brings some new and encouraging signs of maturity, ha ha ha ha. We walk daily for many miles – good for us both – and Nico knows literally everyone living within a vast radius of our house. “What a cute dog!! What is he… a Jack Russell mix?” is the comment we hear from 90% of inquirers.

I’ve never had a dog this effusively happy and desirous to socialize with people and other dogs, although Enzo was surely a close second. We’re now able to work more on vocabulary, which he picks up readily. He’s a constant comedic bundle of unbridled joy!

He got two new rubber balls for Christmas, solid rubber because anything less would get chewed up and swallowed. Balls are fast and bouncy, which makes them the perfect pasttime. Hope you’re both doing well! See pics attached.  ~~Steve

Daisy

Hello. Happy holidays. I hope you both are doing well.

Hi Bill, nice chatting this morning. Here’s my Daisy at 10 months. She loves playing fetch with her ball. It’s been 2 years ( 12/10/22) that we picked up our precious Daisy. We are so in love with her.

Wish you all the best. ~~ Lisa

Baxter

Hello Susan & Bill,

Just wanted to share a few photos of Baxter.  He’s doing great!  He’s about 12 pounds, but still slender.  We are brushing him regularly with this special brush to strip out the excess wire hair and it works great.  He loves playing with the hose, playing tug of war with his toys and he has another Dachshund buddy in the neighborhood that he likes to play with.  He also likes kids and other dogs, even big dogs.

He’ll be going in for his surgery before the end of the year.  We wanted to wait till he was closer to 1 year old to help his bone density, but he’s a bit of a vindictive piddler so we’re losing some patience!

Every time we take him out we get so many inquiries about him and how unique he looks.  He’s really been a great addition to the family.

Thanks again!
