Hi Susan and Bill. We saw your new Happy Clients section and wanted to check in with our own NuForest weenie. We adopted Lucy from you in 2013 and she’s still going strong. She was 6 when she joined us and she just celebrated her 16th birthday last month!
Though she’s slowed a bit with age Lucy still loves to spend her days napping, getting dirty in the yard, and being irritated with her little brother. She’s remarkably healthy for her age, and impressed all the vets at her last check-up.
Happy New Year to you and Bill! Almost 16 years ago, I sent you an email regarding helping us find a new puppy, and you & Bill gave us Hazel. As you probably know, we had to say our goodbyes to Hazel, and after spending about 5k on medical procedures, ( Hazel had a brain tumor ), there didn’t seem to be a way that Hazel would have lived the rest of her life without being in constant pain. It breaks our hearts that Hazel is no longer with us. She was our first baby before Sean and Preston were born. ( Sean is now 9 & Preston is 5 ) Hazel was around 5 or 6 when Sean was born, so he got to play with Hazel a little more in her formative years, but Hazel absolutely loved Preston! ( probably because he would drop his food as a baby, and Hazel wouldn’t say no to food! ) She would almost always be found close or next to Preston. I am almost in tears right now as I am writing this about just some of our fond memories of Hazel, there was so much more, but… 16 years was not enough.
I know that every dog is different, and there will never be another Hazel… I miss her every day, and not a day goes by without wishing that she was still here with us. My wife Tiffany has been looking for another dog, but I know it’s because she misses Hazel so much. She is constantly looking at pictures of Hazel.
So, almost 16 years later, I ask you for your help again, and hope to hear that you have found the perfect puppy for us once again! We are looking for a red/tan smooth-haired, preferably plush coat and chocolate-nosed female mini dachshund ( it’s ok if it’s not a chocolate nose ) puppy. It looks like a new litter is due soon.
Here’s our little Daisy! She’s brought SO much joy and love to our household. She’s so smart, silly, and playful. Oh, and did I mention she’s also spoiled too? 🙂
Thank you so much for allowing me to bring her home.
Hard to believe Sasha will be 2 years old in s few weeks. She is a joy and has more energy than any doxie we have had. Probably the smartest and most stubborn too!
We talk more and more about may be time to get her a sister. We prefer smooth red sable (like Sasha), red, or brown. If you have litters due soon, let us know. We walk with neighbors every day for about 2 miles. Sasha weighs about 15 lbs of all muscle.
We are so enjoying Penny. Our plan was always to have a pair and even though Penny is now just 7 months, we feel like we are ready for her to have a companion. Please let us know what puppies you have available or, if there are none at the moment, what the “forecast” looks like over the near future. We are bringing Penny to your kennel on the 21st because our family is off to Hawaii for a week. .
Our daughter and son-in-law came to visit you back in November 2021 and came back with one of your wonderful puppy female wirehaired pups. She is just the 7th wonder!
We were wondering if you have wirehaired puppies available from the same mother; she was born 9/11/21 –
