Hello Susan
New pictures for you. This picture is Klaus, he’s 12 now! I feel so blessed that he’s still with me, that being said, since he turned 12, he’s gotten, not destructive but he’s getting up on furniture that he shouldn’t be jumping down from! I keep a chair in the bathroom doorway, to keep him from shutting the door, he would go in and take the towels off the bars and then my bathrobe off the back of the door.
So his age is 12 but he acts like a 3 year old! He’s so spry! Never a dull moment.
Take care – Catherine

Hi Susan
I think this is such a good picture of Klaus, he sure is handsome! Klaus is doing well, still very active for an 8 year old. He did well in the snow, I’m still trying to get the video of him in the snow off my phone. He likes the snow but not the rain. We got 19″ snow a couple weeks back, it wasn’t bad but I had to carry him through the snow to the street before I could put him down so he could do his business, they were slow to clear the sidewalks! It’s snowing now but we won’t get any accumulation.
Catherine

Hi Bill and Susan,
I wanted to update you on how little Fritz is doing. Potty training is going quite well. Don’t know of any dog we have ever trained sans accidents. He doesn’t mind the elements — snow and rain (see attached). Socialization w/ the big dogs is in progress. Lucy, the 4+ Weimi plays with him wonderfully, but the older (~9+) Dobbie still remains the “fun police”.
In short as you might expect he has captured our hearts and taken over the household. Two questions/requests. Marieluise would like to have photos of what his parents looked like when they “grew up”. Secondly, would it be possible to get the emails of the people who have his litter mates so we could compare notes. We have done this before with Labrador pups and it is always fun.
Cheers,Mike

My husband and I purchased a wirehair from you in 2010. We named her Cricket and she was an absolute joy. Picture attached. Sadly, we lost her to cancer last March.
We are interested in the possibility of bringing a new dachshund into our family and were wondering whether you had any wirehair litters planned in 2020.
Any information is appreciated.
Sincerely -Margaret

We let our puppies go to their new families at 8 weeks if they are picked up here at our home or if we deliver. If we have to ship we keep the puppy with us until it is at least 12 weeks of age. We are in Ramona, near San Diego, CA.
If you have questions about our current puppies or our anticipated litters of mini longhaired, mini smooth, or mini wirehaired Dachshunds please call us (760) 789-0592 or e-mail us at: nuforest@aol.com.

This is CH “ALECK” as we first saw him pictured as a promising puppy. After Aleck was shipped to us from Canada he walked into the ring and started winning. He finished his Championship in short order and is now watching his youngsters strut there stuff in the show ring.
